(More customer reviews)I've owned this desk for 2 years- and use it constantly. I understand the mixed reviews it's been getting. On the one hand it looked really good when I got it, fit the space,is a nice design and the right size. On the other hand, I also have had problems with the magnetic catch and the front shelf opening. Mostly, though, the finish has not lasted at all- it has worn away and the wood underneath is showing through on the front edge. The desk top is scratched- and this really shows because the finish is very thin and the wood underneath is very light. On the other hand, I am thinking of ordering another one because it's so reasonable and it's almost as cheap as trying to refinish this one. I too don't find Target easy to work with and I am concerned about getting damaged merchandise- as so many reviewers have reported. I'm still looking for other alternatives.

However, as in another review of a Winsome product, not all the screw holes lined up, and the hutch part of the desk is a little loose on one side due to that. I am happy with this product and am going to purchase the night stands and bookcase next. They look nice, clean and are good for those on a budget.

(More customer reviews)I bought this desk so my fiance can have a desk for her homework, and her laptop when she's over, and I'm at my desk. It seems perfect for her. She's 5'3,105 lbs. I feel nervous sitting in the chair, but it works.
Good price, although the $40 tag +$30 shipping was misleading, and I almost didn't purchase this item because of that. However for the price of the desk and chair in comparison of a desk + a chair from somewhere else would have been more.
Both items were easy to assemble. The desk prmary supports have to be assembled a specific way, the directions don't mention that. (I think the flanges were pushed in on the wrong side of the product legs.

(More customer reviews)My husband bought me this overpriced desk for Christmas and we are very disappointed in it. The quality is poor. The drawers catch when you open and close them. We are still having problems with the keyboard drawer. We can't get it to work even though we've worked and worked on it. I would not recommend this desk to anyone. If someone does by chance want one they can get it much cheaper at Staples than what my husband paid for it.

(More customer reviews)Let me start this review by saying that I am seriously considering getting another one of these for my home office for great desk space and clean simple looks.
The surface is not height adjustable, but you could actually get a few inches of adjustment out of the gliders if you need to. The enclosed sides and good cable management make this look and feel like a really high-end executive desk, and I feel very comfortable at it either as my work desk or at the head of the classroom myself.
I recently ordered several items from this company and I have been very pleased with their prompt service, free shipping, and the quality of the products!

Madison Large Trestle Desk - Antique Black Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this desk a couple of months ago, and it is so sturdy that I have stood on top of it to reach my ceiling! It holds all of my equipment, and for the love of god, it is only a couple hundred bucks!! I am thinking about buying another one for the other side of my office. Love it. If you are even thinking about getting this thing, go ahead and take the plunge. It will be worth it. And for the clown who said the holes are not "pre-drilled", he did not read the directions, because I ran into the same thing, and once I flipped the piece over, it worked great. One last thing: Did he really think that it was going to be "Antique" black? Black, yes. Antique, no. But then again, I do not really go to Amazon.com or Target to purchase most of my antique heirlooms. Maybe that is just me.

Mission Natural Side Desk Review

I bought the desk, as well as the side desk and file cart. I depended on the very positive reviews. These are truly terrible, terrible products, and all three pieces of furniture had fatal flaws. Now I have to return them and find something else. The fabrication, cut, fit, and fasteners display shabby workmanship and cheap materials. I'm a decent carpenter but I cannot fix fasteners that break under moderate pressure, badly warped tops, and badly ill-fitting pieces. How bad? The rails for the drawers are so far apart that the drawers just drop through. The fasteners are very cheap pot metal and three of eight failed in one piece of furniture.
I notice that the reviews tend to be old, while I'm buying in 2009. Perhaps once upon a time this was a good product, but no longer. You will be very disappointed.
