(More customer reviews)I've owned this desk for 2 years- and use it constantly. I understand the mixed reviews it's been getting. On the one hand it looked really good when I got it, fit the space,is a nice design and the right size. On the other hand, I also have had problems with the magnetic catch and the front shelf opening. Mostly, though, the finish has not lasted at all- it has worn away and the wood underneath is showing through on the front edge. The desk top is scratched- and this really shows because the finish is very thin and the wood underneath is very light. On the other hand, I am thinking of ordering another one because it's so reasonable and it's almost as cheap as trying to refinish this one. I too don't find Target easy to work with and I am concerned about getting damaged merchandise- as so many reviewers have reported. I'm still looking for other alternatives.

Folding Table - Black (20 x 48") Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a graduate student and just moved out to an unfurnished apartment so I decided to buy a table which can be easily transported. This table is perfect for reading and studying. The surface feels nice and space is enough for my laptop. I just feel that it's shaky whenever I try to write on a paper. So I say that this table is perfect for displays and picnic but cannot be used as a desk for writing.

(More customer reviews)I love the look of this computer desk - especially with the additional hutch added. So, if you are going for looks and don't plan on using it at all - go for it.
PROS:
Attractive aesthetic features
CONS:
EXTREMELY easy to scratch any of the surfaces
Time consuming to assemble (I did both the hutch and desk at the same time - took 6 hours by my self)
Plastic "locks" on front keyboard drawer broke after 6 weeks of use (they keep the panel with the aesthetic handles up when not in use)
Not ideal for larger computer towers
Difficult to reach back of computer tower
Definitely not a good choice if you have small children who use the computer. Even for frequent adult users, the quality just isn't there. I rarely regret my purchases, but this one is one I wish I had never ever made. Poor quality to invest your money in. Ah, but then, you get what you pay for. Pity ... it looks so nice from a distance.

(More customer reviews)This desk arrived with a total of eight missing parts. Customer service via telephone had me on hold for so long I gave up (tried calling several times throughout the day). Emailing customer service generated no response.
I ended up welding this thing together and fabricating my own parts to replace the missing ones.
I recommend this if you have extensive metal working skills and can handle frustration. Note the sarcasm.

(More customer reviews)The desk came well packaged, the external protection was a bit beat up, but nothing in the box was harmed. Two hours plus to put it together, and the instructions are a bit difficult to follow, but can be figured out. No real wood in the desk, and the drawer bottoms are cardboard, but are pretty sturdy. As long as I don't spill water in them, they should be OK. The drawers are on very smooth glides, and the assembled desk looks very nice. The package includes some extra parts and a touch-up pen. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

Simple and accessible, this 31-inch high desk from South Shore Furniture's Gascony Collection adapts for all sizes of computer monitors and fits easily into most interiors. The desk provides plenty of storage under its 1-inch thick desktop. Upon facing the desk, the right side of the unit offers three storage options: an open compartment, a small utility drawer, and a file drawer. The container section of the desk rests on its end panels while horizontal arches add some flourish.
