(More customer reviews)Cresnel shipped these super fast. I only needed one to replace a wheel that had disintegrated. The post is secured fast in the replacement wheels. And the post was still in the chair. So I had to pry one or the other out.
I found that the best way to proceed was to use a wrench to hold the end of the steel pin in the chair base and pull on it while using a screwdriver to pry it out.
Just a little help for anyone in the same situation.

I have laminate floors and always kept a rug or something under them because the plastic wheels do scratch them. These wheels solve that problem and are a good deal for the price. Even the more expensive chairs come with the plastic wheels and to buy a chair with the rubber wheels is really expensive. These popped right on with no problem and they roll very smoothly on the laminate. I no longer have to keep something under my chairs! I've had them for quite awhile and the rubber is holding fine and wheels still roll nice and smooth

(More customer reviews)These wheels have solved my problem. With a carpet and padding underneath, it was hard to roll my office style chair around. If I was sitting a little forward on the chair, it would tip forward rather than roll forward. If I was standing near the chair and wanted to move it, pushing at the top of the back of the chair would only tip it over.
I tried a vinyl mat. The result was the formation of little "craters" where I sat in the chair most. That made it even harder to move the chair. I then tried cutting a large piece of fibre-board into a chair mat. The result of that was such generation of static electricity that I believe it was the cause of both my system unit and monitor power supplies failing with a literal bang.
With these big casters, the chair rolls easily and can be easily pushed without tipping.
