Studio RTA Metro Metal , Glass Computer Cart in Black Review

Products like this is why Amazon needs to allow a 0-star rating.
I paid $59 for this at a local Fry's Electronics. If this were $20, it would still be too much. I have put together many cheap desks, but this unit is by far the worst to date.
*Screws are too big for the holes and require you push with with all your might while screwing them. It would have been better to bust out the drill and drill the proper size hole myself.
*The sliding trays are not so slidey. There are no rollers in the tracks; it's metal-on-metal. I gobbed on some grease thinking it may help break it in some - nope. You should plan to pull the top tray out and push the bottom tray in to a permanent position, because you will never slide these trays again without donkey-kicking them and knocking over your monitor & computer.
*The metal frame is cheap and flimsy and will require quite a bit of wrestling with to get everything aligned while you screw everything in.
*Wheels also do not operate as wheels should. After putting this junk together, the wheels served as comic relief as we watched them NOT spin, but rather LOCK UP and glide across the carpet as if there were no wheels on the bottom at all. The kicker is, there are actually locking levers on the wheels as if you might need to lock the wheels up anymore than they already are; perhaps if this desk will be sitting on a steep hill, the locks may serve a purpose.
I always try to find something positive. The best I could come up with is, they didn't mess up the glass. It's see-thru and rectangular as it should be.
Save your money and the 2 hours of your life it will take to assemble this utter failure of a desk.

Target Marketing Systems Berkeley Computer Desk Review

I say "savvy" in the title really only because I was hard pressed to find another 's' word that describes this desk. But the first two words really are accurate. While I don't use it as a computer desk, it has proved to be well put together and easy to clean. In my line of work, all sorts of grime gets onto my work surfaces. Add some feathers and its a complete disaster. So I'm not sure what it's made out of, but this desk is really easy to clean off with a little vinegar. It also does not wobble at all, or sway like you are trying to work on the back of an elephant. Or something.
The one complaint I have is the difficulty I had in putting it together. The packaging was great and everything, but it took forever to figure out how to install the roller tracks for the keyboard drawer. This was especially disconcerting because I was being timed on how quickly and accurately I could assemble the desk. As a hint to those reading, the two sections come apart when one applies a slight pressure to the small plastic tab at the end.
I ended up not using the wheels since I would not need to move the desk around, but discovered that my horribly bloated legs would not fit underneath. So it required a couple inches of raising.
The upshot: A good desk for the price. Will serve my grimy, feathery work environment for years to come.

Small Computer Desk Cart on Wheels, Black Finish Review

This stand is sturdy except for the casters which are the cheapest I have ever seen. I'm being careful, but I do not expect them to last long. The packaging was minimal and resulted in two of the wooden pieces being scratched by other parts. It works okay in the back up roll I use it for, but I would not want it as a main piece of furniture.

Small Computer Cart on Wheels, Desk w/ Black Finish Review

Small Computer Cart on Wheels, Desk w/ Black Finish

This product was incredibly poorly made. The frame was welded together so sloppily that the bolts weren't long enough to reach the top, let alone hold it on. While there were four holes in the frame (and four bolts), only two nuts seemed to have been drilled into the top. So we bought our own nuts and bolts thinking we'd have to go in through the top to hold it together -- only to discover that the original nuts had been correctly embedded in the particle board, then covered up with the vinyl shell.
The keyboard tray mount was a complete mystery -- the "instructions" are just pictures that have been copied one too many times to be visually clear. So that was another hour of frustration.
Anyhow, we got what we paid for ... I guess ... $55 of parts (plus, of course, $40 of shipping ... which was what prevented us from mailing it back ... to say nothing of the hassle of trying to repack it). Now that it's together, it's OK (reasonably solid and functional), and the memory of putting it together is fading. But if you were my friend, I'd say, "Do NOT buy this."

Coaster Contemporary Computer Workstation Office Desk / Table, Silver Finish Review

This table is pretty awesome. Its ultra-compact and sturdy aluminum frame holds my 19" monitor and printer perfectly. The wheels are great for when I need to move the table during vacuuming. The price is great and the table takes around 10 minutes to put together. All-in-all a good product.

This desk is pretty good considering the price. My only major problems were that a piece of it had gotten broken off during shipping, luckily I was able to hide it on the underside since it was on the back of the bottom piece. The other problem was piecing it together. Most products have holes started or some kind of mark to indicate where something goes. For instance, the wheel mechanisms you have to guess where would be best to put them. At least it allows you to customize a little if needed...
Overall I like the way it looks and it seems pretty stable. It's a great size for my little amount of space. Plus it's a fun blue color ;)

Target Marketing Systems Cambridge Computer Desk Review

I finished building one of these about an hour ago, and I've got my iMac on it right now. Overall, it's a decent unit, but has a few failings that might make you rethink the purchase, even at this reasonable price.
It's solidly built and moves easily, and it's not too hard to put together. The instructions could be better: it's a single 8.5 x 11 double-sided sheet with no words that actually spell out the steps, relying completely on images. This would be okay if the images focused better on the specific tasks instead of showing full-figure shots of the assembly in process.
The parts fit as expected, and the entire assembly took me about 40 minutes. There are pilot holes for most of the screws, but several of the smaller ones have to be tapped directly into the composite boards.
Once it's done, the minuses begin to show up, with the worst problem being the keyboard shelf. It doesn't slide very far out relative to the top of the desk, and it's neither very wide or very deep. I suppose if I was using the standard iMac keyboard, it might not be too bad, though I expect even then the mouse wouldn't fit to the right of the board.
As it is, my keyboard is a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000, which I love using, but which is a beastly large animal. It's not only so wide it fills the whole keyboard shelf, it's also so deep that the wrist rest hangs over the front end. This is especially bad since the keyboard has to be placed about an inch forward of the back of the shelf in order to reach all the keys.
As alluded to above, my mouse can't be put to either side of the keyboard, so it has to be placed on the desktop itself. Not that big a deal with an iMac, since it has such a small footprint, but anyone out there who's still using a CRT monitor will find that this cart won't really serve.
The sidecar shelf is not a bad idea, but for my system, there's really no need for it. At this point, I'm not using it, but I'm considering placing my cable modem and router on it so it won't cause a problem if I choose to wheel it to more convenient locations.
Overall, it's tall enough for an adult without being too big to be used for a kid's room, but be wary of some of the limitations outlined above. In particular, the keyboard shelf might be an issue.

I ordered this desk for my college student at home who does not have a lot of space in his room but wanted to be organized and have privacy while working on his school work. It is a perfect fit in his room, doesn't take up a lot of space and can be easily moved around if needed. It is sturdy and has room to suit all his needs for laptop, printer, books, and accessories. I would recommend this item to anyone who is limited on space. The price is also very affordable.

Style and function are good, but one of the the workstation wheel inserts has already failed and has to be balanced with a telephone book. Price of item was atractive but shipping and handling charges were excessive
