Walker Edison 3-Piece Contemporary Desk Review

For anyone on the fence after reading some reviews PLEASE READ THIS: First of all I ordered the SILVER version so I knew I was getting the "X" frame as one reviewer noted. The BLACK framed desk at double the price is the one that the reviewer gave 1 star for not being "Y" framed... Anyway this desk is AWESOME I am 6'1" and I had no problem with the "height" of this desk, I suppose if you had a chair that was made for a dining room table or something it may not fit but I have a "computer chair" that is adjustable. When I put the chair on its lowest level I have like over 6" of clearance between the bottom of the keyboard tray and my legs. The desk looks great, the glass is high quality and tempered, to give you an idea while putting it together one of the "X" legs fell from a standing position straight onto the glass, it made a large smack when it hit but the glass didn't even have a scratch... Nice.
I am an IT professional and I am using this desk to work on multiple computers at once, I have two LCD monitors on it as well as a laptop and it feels REALLY STURDY.
For $77 (and no tax) delivered to your door you really can't beat the price, throw in moderate quality coupled with a modern design and this is THE BEST COMPUTER DESK FOR YOUR MONEY ANYWHERE! I looked at Wal-mart, Target, Bestbuy, Staples, and Shopko and this beat all of them hands down. BUY THIS DESK YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED.

L-Shaped Computer Desk with "X" Design in Black Finish Review

L-Shaped Computer Desk with X Design in Black Finish

I bought this desk a few months ago. It arrived about 3 days before the scheduled date. It came with everything. Very easy to put together. I only paid 99.99 at the time. and a week after I recieved it the price dropped down to 69.99. I see the price went up again. So if you want this desk but do not want to pay that price. then wait a week or so and keep checking the price because it changes very often. The desk is exactly how it is pictured and you can chose was side you want the keyboard tray on. The metal frame that you see on the floor is used to place your computer tower in, there is no tower that is small enough to fit. but no big deal. Anyone who wants to be able to place your mouse on the trey with the keyboard will be disappointed because the slide out trey is small it only fits the keyboard.

Contemporary Cappuccino Finish Computer Desk w/ Pull Out Tray Review

Contemporary Cappuccino Finish Computer Desk w/ Pull Out Tray
Average Reviews:

When I opened the box, I immediately notice that the legs to the Coaster desk have the dark laminate pulling away from the particle board where it curves in exposing the lighter particle board. Laminate not glued correctly in manufacturing. Purchased super glue to try and repair laminate but glue not holding down due to curve in wood. Disappointed that the desk came defected but I like the overall look to the desk. It does not have any storage so I will need to purchase a separate wall hutch to hold basic desk requirements (paper, envelopes, stapler, etc.)

Walker Edison Solo Desk Review

Walker Edison Solo Desk

This is not a very sturdy desk. I'm actually quite unhappy with it. I'm no stranger to assemble-it-yourself furniture, but I can't think of many pieces that come out so very wobbly. While I'm shopping for a better desk, I've got this one held together with tape. It's a good height, and it looks great, but it's very poorly made, and that makes for a bad work station.

Walker Edison Soreno 3-Piece Corner Desk, Black with Black Glass Review

Walker Edison Soreno 3-Piece Corner Desk, Black with Black Glass
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was in the market for a smaller L-shaped glass top desk and found it on Amazon $50 less than O-stock. Since I love quality reviews when considering a purchase I'll cut the long winded stream of paragraphs and hope this list form helps you with your decision AND assembly:
+ Asked for 2 day shipping - received in 2 days
+ Packing was sufficient to protect contents from an apparent drop in transport
- Styrofoam is used as padding and therefore it will get everywhere
+ All parts are labeled with small removable stickers that match the directions
+ Extra screws, bolts are enclosed 'just in case'; an allan wrench is included but you will need your own philips head screwdriver
+ The glass is solid black and not smoke aka it is not see-thru
+ The black glass is great to help hide cables and has a very sleek look
+ This top will smudge over time but you will appreciate the mirror effect =)
o If you are putting this together by yourself it may be easier to do step 2 with it laying on its side just to start off
o If you want the keyboard on the right side switch parts 2/4 with 6
- Not all the suction cups hold that well (don't worry the glass shouldn't fall regardless)
+ Despite the frame being thin the assembled desk is quite sturdy
- The case stand is pretty much worthless on carpet but at least it matches
+ This is tempered glass so if it breaks it will not shatter into sharp pieces
- There is only enough room for a standard keyboard on the tray; tray clearance to the bottom of the desk support is only 2.25" and will only pull out ~6" past the edge of the desk
o There are smaller holes on the keyboard tray (part 7) that are not necessary - hide these holes by making sure they are facing down in step 5
o If you opt to not use the keyboard tray I would suggest to still install the keyboard frame (part 4) to maximize stability (just rotate the 2 arms horizontally so they don't poke your legs)
+ I'm 5'10" and did not have any issues with my shins hitting the lower cross bar
o It may help to move the completed frame into place before installing the glass; setting up and laying out your computer lines first saves a lot of time and headaches if you plan on having this in a corner
o Total time from setting the box down to the last piece of glass installed was about 35 minutes (I've done a lot of home assemblies so it may take about an hour for a complete beginner)
I was honestly surprised because in the past I've bought particle board desks that were pieces of garbage in the same price range. Overall this was a fantastic item (and a total steal) for $100 with free shipping. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a smaller glass top corner desk.

Z-Line Belaire Glass L-Shaped Computer Desk Review

Z-Line Belaire Glass L-Shaped Computer Desk

I got this desk three months ago based just on the looks of it on Amazon. I think it looks better in the photos here than in my room, because almost all of the space is occupied by something. One thing I did not realize, and which the photo does not show, is the fact that the miles of wiring for two computers, printer, speakers, router, etc., will show right through the glass. I will have to work on that with tubing or something. The other thing to note is that the steel frames on the desktop - two outer and two inner - are not flush with the glass. This is a good thing for the outer edges, but the inner frames could be a problem if the monitor is lying on it, or if you want to place your mouse pad over it, which I really wish I could. The frame is about two millimeters above the glass. The glass top has moved a little whenever I have moved the monitors. But other than that, I am pleased with the desk, especially for the price.

Coaster L-Shape Home Office Computer Desk, Cappuccino Finish Base, Glass Top Review

Coaster L-Shape Home Office Computer Desk, Cappuccino Finish Base, Glass Top
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I ordered the desk for my home office space. I spent days trying to locate the correct. desk. Then I located this one.
This may not be the best review but it is not anything that I didn't write to visiondecor about. PRICE: the prices was reasonable in comparison with the other sites that carried this desk. I was not pleased in that the shipping took took long. I think I ordered on the 9 and actually received on the 20th. I though the initial arrival date was the 14th that didn't happen. COLOR: the color is nice dark brown wood it actually matches well with the inexpensive IKEA dark-brown file cabinet I have. The desk feels sturdy for a home quality item , feels stable and doesn't tip. For me the desk is the right size. It doesn't overtake the room. ASSEMBLY: When you assemble the desk you should determine what side you want the computer side (return) on. It is actually the opposite of the picture shown. The computer return sits to the Right. PACKAGING: The packaging of the item is great. Unless you need to return an item. The desk is encased with a foam packing so it comes very secure. I was afraid the glass would break but it was all good. The only problem is it will be difficult to repack due to this special packaging. The integrity and security of the assembled desk is good and it looks amazing. HOWEVER, the issue is the curved legs. The dark colored laminate was peeling and starting to buckle on 2 of the 4 legs ( the legs that support the inner portion). This is not a shipping issue but a issue with how it is manufactured I am sure. Normally I would return the desk but to wait almost 2 more weeks was not an option. SO I have to reglue the laminate to the legs or have them replace them legs. I did go to the visiondecor customer service line and they were helpful. So I don't think they will "keep you hanging" I just don't have the time to reassemble a new desk, repack and mail items just to busy for that. Would i purchase from them again, maybe but I would try and ask more questions upfront. I hope this review is helpful. With the exception of the "peeling legs" the desk is fashionable & functional for now and I would buy it.
