Fellowes Gel Flex Transparent Mini Wrist Rest (Blue Crystal) Review

(More customer reviews)For the past year I've had fairly bad wrist pain from using computers. My first major in college was Web Design and it was pretty much required that I use a computer for about 14 hours a day! Aside from school and personal computer use, the job that I work at requires typing and using a computer as well, so using one is unavoidible for myself. I used to have one of those bean filled wrist rests. It did absolutely nothing, and it wound up being used to throw back and forth across the room between me and my roommate.
The Fellowes Gel Flex Wrist rest works better then a bean filled one because it is FIRM and stays firm! The bean filled ones sag after you have your wrist resting on it for long periods of time.The Fellowes wrist rest worked instantly when I first used it. Plus, it's pretty and fun to poke it because it's squishy. I highly reccommend it, and I definitely am going to pick up the keyboard rest!

Alden Laptop Tray with Foldable Legs in Antique Walnut Finish Review

(More customer reviews)The product looks relatively nice, but my experience hasn't been a very good one. To begin with, the desk arrived with a small nick in the ledge along the bottom which is meant to prevent papers or a laptop from slipping off. Now, after about a month of owning the product and using it pretty lightly to hold my laptop, the desktop has split, literally from end to end down the right side, above the drawer. As much as I enjoyed having a way to elevate my laptop while working, and as much as I prefer a wooden desk to a plastic one, I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this product to another buyer.

Ritelite LPL792 5-LED Computer Light, Metal Review

(More customer reviews)As the specification for USB current draw on the power (+5V) is 500 ma, I got to wondering how much my Ritelite LPL792 light actually uses of that 500 ma available when attached to a normal USB port - I was concerned that, due to it's brightness, it would exceed the maximum current draw spec for USB and possibly damage my computer.
So,I measured the USB current used by this light.
I hooked it up to a quality 5V power brick that is capable of producing up to 3 Amps (it is complete with ferrite noise filter sleeve) and I tested the light for function first: Bright; Dim; and Off. It worked the same as when I have it plugged into my computer's USB port.
Then, using an accurate digital desktop multimeter, I measured the current draw - Here are the results:
Bright: 188 ma
Dim: 95 ma
Off:0 ma
So there are no worries that this light will exceed the 500 ma maximum spec for your USB port!
I got this light from Amazon because the single LED light I had purchased at Staples just didn't put out sufficient light to my eMachines laptop keyboard for use in a darkened room. The Ritelite LPL792 light does.
So I gave it 4 stars because it works very well (but it was slightly difficult to place it so that my hands don't block the light while keying).
