(More customer reviews)I had looked and looked for a high quality chairmat to protect my hardwood floors from the office chair wheels for a long time. I had ordered a couple other chairmats from a different company and sent them back right away because they were flimsy and I could tell they would not be able to stand up to much abuse. This chairmat from Floortex is a thick, firm, high quality mat. It was wrapped/packaged really well for shipping (my other two from another company came unwrapped and had marks and scratches all over them). I have now had this mat on my maple floor at my desk for a month. It gets daily abuse from my rolling office chair and does not show any marks. It is very sturdy and it feels like the chair is just on the wood floor. Although it is "clear", it does have a textured appearance, which I didn't like at first. However, I really love it now. I think if it were perfectly clear, it would show marks more easily so I prefer it this way. It is not very noticeable on the floor. I am extremely happy with this product!

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these mats in March of 2009. About a year and a half later both mats have developed several cracks. I use these mats on a medium pile carpet that's approx. 1/2" thick. My chairs use five casters and I weigh about 220lbs. I don't know if I've misused the product but I don't feel that I have. In addition to the cracks, I've always felt that the grippers on the mat don't grip well enough because my mat moves around and I need to fix the placement of my mats a couple times a week. I give this product only 1 star because of the cracks. Otherwise I would have rated this product 4 stars.

(More customer reviews)This is a good floor mat for the money. I would recommend this floor mat if you have an office chair that is on the smaller size. I underestimated how big my chair is, Steelcase Leap Chair, and it barely covers enough. I would think the Herman Miller Aeron chairs would also have this problem. If you a chair of equal size, then go with the bigger size mat as its a PIA to return this and you probably will end up just keeping it and making due.
Mine also came folded vertically. I've seen similar chair mats at Staples and Office Depot folded in a simliar way so it is common but be aware that yours will most likely come folded as well and the crease is permenant and probably the weakest stress point on the mat. They really should show this in the photo or put that in the item description.
Mine is also a blueish tint but it is not an eyesore in any way and it is somewhat transparent.
I have added a photo which shows you what the mat looks like as you would receive it reflecting both the fold and bluish tint.
