(More customer reviews)I chose this product out of many other similar alternatives that serve the same function due to the pricing.
Though I was missing a small part, it did not affect the function and performance as it was irrelevant to the overall use. I LOVE this product so far. It looks exactly as it does in the image, and has allowed me to lay in bed while using my computer.
My only advice to future customers is to truly read the directions (PICTURES, rather) and lay out how you will build BEFORE starting. I made several mistakes and had to repeat the undoing/redoing process.
However, the frustration and time it took me was WELL WORTH the hassle considering that the price/looks/function met my expectations. If anything, I would say it went beyond, as it looks much more pricier, modern, and high-tech. Despite my bedroom furniture being brown, it works. Note: The picture looks as though you can only use it on the right side of the bed, for right handed people, but in fact, it will rotate the other direction, allowing it for left-handed users for left side of the bed.

In the picture, it looks as if the legs aren't completely straight, but that's not the case -- the high-quality locking hinges extend fully. When in use, the table is stable and steady, and when collapsed requires very little storage space. A beautifully simple and functional alternative to wobbly aluminum TV trays, which is our use for them. Well worth the cost, and highly recommended!

Mahogany Color Laptop Table Review

(More customer reviews)After purchasing a laptop table more than a year ago for myself, I purchased this one for my wife. It is not as stable as the others we have seen and used, and at the lowest setting it is 6 inches above my waist (I am over 6'3"). My wife is 5'8" and can only use this stand when sitting on our (elevated) bed. If she jacks an office chair high enough to type on this stand, her feet can barely reach the floor. If they simply drilled the pin holes all the way to the bottom of the vertical cylinder this tray could be used by people as short as 5'10". A shorter cylinder would be even better.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this table because I was having a hysterectomy and needed something I could use for both my laptop and reading books. I had to have something I could use in a chair, in bed, or on the couch. It had to tilt. It also had to raise and lower as needed. I liked this immediately because of the ribs that hold the items in place when the tray is in a tilted position. Overall this item was well worth the money I paid for it and the use I got out of it. I still use it and I really don't need it at this point. It is nice to have something I can just pull over the bed and not have to lift. I loved the double table top, so I could work on my laptop and have my cup of coffee or reference materials right next to me.
The downside of the product, and items you should consider before you purchase are: a little wobbly side to side because the sliding tubes do not fit tight; the arm of the tray is a bit on the short side so you cannot sit and work in a bed without being closer to the edge than normal; the casters did not fit under my couch so I cannot use it in a sitting position other than at a chair (I have a very low couch); it is sometimes difficult to find the locking position when raising or lowering the table.
All in all I definitely feel the purchase was well worth the money, even with the items I didn't like about it. I don't think I would have survived my two months stuck in my house without this item! It was definitely a life saver.

(More customer reviews)The cart is made of beautiful sturdy wood. It looks beautiful but I have had nothing but problems with the adjustment features.
The Tilting Brace that allows you to adjust the tilt of the top tray has a plastic knob that snapped the first time I tried to tighten it. The vertical support has a cute little wooden knob that when I tried to raise the tray the knob screwed rigt off! I will now have to figure out a way to remove the screw that is stuck in the vertical support and try to glue the knob back on.
Another concern was the fact that when assembled it was not level...and it was not close to level. It felt like I had to sit at an angle in order to use my laptop.
I have only owned this cart for 6 days and if I didn't discard the carton I would return it for a refund.
This cart is beautiful and would probably suffice if you didn't want to adjust the tilt or height very often.
