(More customer reviews)I found the desk reasonably easy to assemble, with good directions and all the parts nicely labeled. The desk came together in about an hour. It's sturdy, and nice looking. For the price, I thought it was a great value. The height of the small shelf on top is adjustable, and there are a few little doo-dads, like pencil holder, envelope rack, and paper holder that come with it and clip onto the perforated back board. A pleasant little surprise. There are rear wheels and fixed, static feet on the front legs, so you can tilt it back to move it hither and dither if necessary.
The problem was that Amazon delivered this item requiring an adult signature, meaning that someone HAS to be home or it can't be delivered. If you have a job, that might be a problem. It was for me. I called UPS, and they told me that the Amazaon warehouse required the signature, so it could not be changed. In the end, I had to drive over and pick the desk up at a UPS depot. That being the case, I might just have well have gone to a brick and mortar store and bought it, and had it the same day.
