(More customer reviews)Bought this for the wifie. She's a teacher and does a lot of homework and loves being able to sit on the sofa and hold all she needs on this large and well made lap desk. The storage areas are adequate for pencils and such, not much more, and the desk is easy to position to the right angles for writing or holding her laptop. Quick shipping and the famous Amazon guarantee. Couldn't be better.

One of the 'pencil holders' broke off. The construction is particle board and the screws and adhesive used were just not up to the task of holding the pencil holders on. A little wood glue fixed the problem is a few minutes then allowed to set overnight and wifie still loves it.
Update 07.06.10
I downrated this to a three because now, seven months after I purchased this item, the 'finish' is coming off, exposing the particle board beneath it. If I had it to do all over again I would hae saved time and money and bought one from a local big box store.
