(More customer reviews)I've noticed that all previous reviews on this desks have been removed. Prior to my purchase of this desk, 3 of the 4 reviews stated that the desk pieces arrived with some degree of damage. I have usually only ordered books, cds, etc from Amazon, but decided to take my chances with this desk because it was perfect for what I was looking for. Well, it arrived just as it did for 3 of the 4 prior reviews...with damage to the connecting pieces. Considering the poor packing job by Amazon, it was no wonder that it arrived this way. However, one of the prior reviews stated that they contacted the manufacturer (Legare) and got replacement pieces. Instead of having to ship the desk back to Amazon for a new desk (with no guarantee that the next shipment would not also be damaged), I decided to do the same and contacted the manufacturer instead of working with Amazon. I sent an email explaining my situation and got an immediate response the next day (a Saturday!) from the company. I sent pictures of the damage to them and had replacement pieces in a short while at no cost (I would have had to pay to return the desk to Amazon and I was a Prime member where I got shipment for free!) The customer service at Legare was exceptional! If you are interested in purchasing this desk, please save yourself the hassle and order it directly through the manufacturer (Leagare). As far as the desk is concerned, it is perfect! It fits perfectly in a corner of my bedroom and has just the amount of working desktop space I was looking for without taking up too much space in my room. I am writing this review to help you as a fellow consumer. If I hadn't known what options I had, I would have sent this desk back to Amazon and then been without the perfect desk! I hope this helps you, but like I said, you'll be taking a gamble to order this through Amazon.
